Kesha Rose Biography

Kesha Rose Sebert (born March 1, 1987), known professionally as Kesha (pronunciation: /ˈkɛʃə/ kesh-ə, stylized as Ke$ha), is an American singer-songwriter and rapper. In 2005, at age 18, Kesha was signed to producer Dr. Luke's record label, Kemosabe Entertainment, and publishing company. Although an active musician since then, singing background vocals and writing songs for other artists, her breakthrough came in early 2009 after appearing on rapper Flo Rida's number-one single, "Right Round." Her debut album,Animal and her first extended play, Cannibal, were released in 2010. Kesha's irreverent music and image propelled her to immediate commercial success, with Animal debuting as the number-one album in the US. She also achieved two number-one singles, "Tik Tok" and "We R Who We R", and a string of top ten hits from the album and its re-release. At the same time, she continued to write songs for other artists, including "Till the World Ends" for pop singer Britney Spears. Warrior, her second studio album released in December 2012, spawned Kesha's eighth top-ten hit with "Die Young".
Influenced by various genres and artists, Kesha primarily draws inspiration from music of the 1980s; Madonna, Queen, and Beck have been cited as instrumental to her artistry. After experimenting with country, pop rock, and electronic music, Kesha stuck with the latter. Her "talky" rap technique, yodelling, and excessive auto-tune have become her trademark, and all three have led to scrutiny regarding her vocal talent. Thematically, her music generally revolves around party antics and binge drinking, although some tracks have been noted as odes to individuality. Philanthropically, Kesha has been involved with animal rights and LGBT activism. Since her debut, Kesha has been nominated for over 40 awards, winning upwards of 10. Among these awards, she won the MTV Europe Music Award for Best New Act in 2010 and several Billboard Awards. Kesha has sold 3 million albums and 30 million singles worldwide.

Katy Perry Biography

Katy Perry
Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson (born October 25, 1984), known by her stage name Katy Perry, is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. Perry was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California around the influence of gospel music. Her conservative parents forbade her to listen to mainstream pop music. As a teen, she pursued a career in gospel music under her birth name and released herself-titled debut album. She recorded a solo album which never received release. In 2007, she signed with Capitol Records and adopted her stage name.
Perry's commercial breakthrough came once she released her first mainstream studio album One of the Boys (2008). This was preceded by the release of her first single "I Kissed a Girl". Several successful singles followed, including "Hot n Cold" and "Waking Up in Vegas". Perry embarked on the Hello Katy Tour in support of the album. She followed this up with her second studio effort Teenage Dream which was an instant commercial success, topping the album charts in several countries. It spawned five number-one hits on the Billboard Hot 100—"California Gurls", "Teenage Dream", "Firework", "E.T." and "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)". It became the first album in history recorded by a female artist to achieve this, and the second after Michael Jackson's Bad (1987). In support of the album, she embarked on the California Dreams Tour. Teenage Dream was followed by a re-release entitled The Complete Confection that spawned an additional number one, "Part of Me".
Perry remains the only artist to spend 69 consecutive weeks in the top ten of the Hot 100. She has sold 38 million digital tracks in the United States, 11 million albums worldwide, and a total of 75 million digital tracks worldwide. In 2011, MTV named her "Artist of the Year". As of 2012, she has been nominated for a total of eight Grammy Awards including Album of the Year. Her contributions to the music industry have garnered her multiple accolades. Using her celebrity status, Perry has ventured into celebrity endorsement and released her signature fragrance Purr. She has also made her film debut, voicing Smurfit in The Smurfs (2011). Perry was ranked at number fourteen on Billboard's list of top moneymakers of 2011, grossing more than $11 million. Billboard named Perry 2012's Woman of the Year.
Perry's personal life and public image have attracted a considerable amount of media attention. Noted for her unconventionality, she is recognized for her flamboyant appearances. After a failed relationship with fellow artist Travie McCoy, she married British comedian Russell in 2010. In December 2011, Brand filed for the divorce, raising controversy as to the cause. She was spotlighted in her own 3D biopic-concert film Part of Me (2012), which concentrated on her life as a touring artist and the breakdown of her marriage.

Kim Kardashian Mourns Death of Cat Mercy

Kim Kardashian's Persian kitten, Mercy, has died, the reality star has confirmed.
The cause of her cat's death was a cancer-like virus associated with breeding.

"It is with deep sadness that I have to tell you all that my kitten, Mercy has passed away," Kim wrote on her blog Friday evening. "My heart is completely broken."
Kim Kardashian only got Mercy in September; at the time, she said she almost went with Pearl as a name before being inspired by the title of one of her man's songs.
Boyfriend Kanye West gave Kim the baby Persian kitty as a gift.
Kim quickly found out she was allergic to her new pet shortly after getting her from the breeder, however, and gave her to Khloe Kardashian's assistant, Sydney Hitchcock.
Sydney had recently lost her own cat after 12 years, making Mercy's arrival joyous - and her loss this week all the more heartbreaking for the pet's caretaker.
Our thoughts go out to all that loved the adorable white ball of fur.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez haven’t been able to see each other for quite some time with their busy schedules, and as New York Daily News reported this Monday, Dec. 10, that may continue to be the case for theback-together “Jelena” couple, as Justin Bieber’s 2013 concert tour dates were announced today. Selena Gomez is also reportedly staying busy as she begins to unveil her own fashion contributions after signing on to be a “style icon” for Adidas Neo’s new collection.
Justin Bieber will be keeping fans happy with music appearances for quite some time to come, as the “Beauty and a Beat” singer recently announced his concert tour dates for 2013 on the “Believe” World Tour. The Biebs’ “Believe” tour will begin again in San Diego, Calif., on June 22, and will not end until his final appearance in Atlanta next August 10.
New York fans will also be able to enjoy more Justin Bieber star power (especially after the talented singer’s heart-stopping show this weekend at the Jingle Ball) on July 30 and July 31 at the Prudential Center, as well as at the Barclays Center on the 2 of August. Tickets will officially go on sale this Dec. 14.
And while the Biebs may have been snubbed for a Grammys nomination this year, the great singer still took to Twitter this weekend to thank his fans for all their support, and his phenomenal success is more than enough testament to his talent (the “Believe” Worldwide Concert Tour already hit the top money-making tour list this September).
In other Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez news, Selena Gomez may be apart from her “Boyfriend” singer for now, but is also hard at work building her own name for herself in not only music, but fashion.
