 VU to facilitate ICAP for Chartered Accountancy Examination through Electronic Format across Pakistan


Virtual University of Pakistan (VUP) and Institute of Chartered Accountancy of Pakistan (ICAP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the committee room of the Ministry of IT & Telecom on Wednesday.  

The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Federal Secretary MoITT Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui. Dr. Faisal Tehseen Shah, Controller Examination VU, and Syed Masood Akhtar, Secretary ICAP signed the MoU.

At the MoU signing ceremony, Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Syed Amin Ul Haque sent his congratulation message to  Rector, Virtual University on achieving yet another milestone. He said that the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication is doing its best to digitalize every educational activity through Virtual University. 

Federal Secretary, MoITT Shoaib Ahmad Siddique praised Virtual University for its continuous efforts to uplift the educational standards in every aspect. He said that VU has extreme potential to discover new horizons and we want VU to collaborate with more organizations to switch every institution on the digital platforms. 

While briefing about MoU, Rector Virtual University  Naeem Tariq said that IT has revolutionized our educational sphere, it's the need of the hour that we must implement the latest ICT-based technologies in every educational activity. 

President ICAP Iftikhar Taj said that according to the MoU, Virtual University will conduct ICAP’s Assessment of Fundamental Competencies (AFC) exam at its campuses across Pakistan, keeping a strict check and balance on transparency and COVID-19 SOPs.

Newly appointed Rector of VU, Prof. Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhatti, President ICAP  Iftikhar Taj, Vice President ICAP Ashfaq Yousuf Tola, distinguished guests from ICAP, VU, and senior officers of MOITT attended the ceremony. 

Later, the Chief Guest awarded mementos to the distinguished guests
