Mr. Maroof Afzal, Former Chairman, BoG, VU passed away

 Former Chairman, Board of Governors, Virtual University of Pakistan and newly appointed Chairman, Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC), Mr. Maroof Afzal passed away due to Covid-19 on Thursday, December 10, 2020

Virtual University staff is deeply saddened by the sad demise of Maroof Afzal. He served as Chairman, Board of Governors, Virtual University of Pakistan while he was Secretary IT, Ministry of IT & Telecom, Government Of Pakistan. May Allah (SWT) bless his soul in eternal peace and give his family the strength to bear this immense loss.

Maroof Afzal was recently appointed as Chairman Federal Public Service Commission however, he could not take the oath of his office as he contracted coronavirus and passed away on December 10, 2020.
