Newly elected VU’s BOG had a meeting with the President of Pakistan

 



A meeting of the Board of Governors of Virtual University was held with the President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi. The board members updated the President about the progress of Virtual University and its achievements and how VU is disseminating quality education to the masses in Pakistan. VU also has executed DigiSkills Training Project and the target of one million enrollments was achieved ahead of time and now it has been extended further to have a skilled workforce.

The President appreciated Virtual University for providing quality education to the masses across Pakistan and abroad. He lauded the facilities provided by VU to its students and its convenience to study at anytime, anywhere. He told the board members that the Government is having a keen interest in promoting education. He praised the role of VU for providing quality education even during the lockdown due to covid-19. He mentioned, “we cannot ignore the importance of E-Learning as the whole world has faced lockdowns and moved towards digitalization.”  

 

In the end, the President, Dr. Arif Alvi assured his support to Virtual University and stated that the future belongs to the Virtual System of Education and he is very much concerned to remove all the hindrances in this mode of education. The virtual model of education will enhance the capacity, numbers, and practical knowledge of students belonging to all phases/classes of society. He specifically called FA/FSc. students to get engage with Virtual Education.
