2- Read alone early morning / Late Night, personal choice.
3- Do not apply ratta
4- Save video lectures on mobile so that you can watch lectures whenever you want in your free time.
5- Go to campus only one month before the exam if it is very necessary
6- No need to memorize the whole lecture, just try to keep the main points of the lecture in mind or Make Notes.
7- (Exercise, GDB, Quiz) Be sure to submit but don't waste so much time on them that lectures are left.
8- Prepare on your own. Read separately. Don't depend on others
9- Don't become too many readers, just prepare (HandOuts) well, the paper will be solved.
10. Don't blacken the computer screen with the answers to the questions in the exam. Just write the answer to the point

Q:  What is the “Endowment Fund”?

A:  “Endowment Fund” is a fund that is created to collect donations, contributions, grants, and gifts, etc.

Q:  How does it work?

A:  An endowment fund is an investment fund set up by an institution in which the principal amount is kept intact and only the income generated by it is utilized for various purposes; such as:

a.       Research Activities

b.      Scholarships

Q:  Is it approved by any university’s a body /forum?

A:  Yes, The university’s apex body i.e. Board of Governors (BoG) has approved the Endowment fund. The BoG further approved the contribution of Rs. 1,000/- and USD 10/- from students w.e.f. spring-16, onward.

Q:  Is it refundable?

A:  The contribution to the endowment fund is non-refundable.

Q:  Would Endowment fund contributions only be collected from students?

A:  The contributions towards the endowment fund will be made by the University, its students,     alumni, and other donors.

Q:  How much amount will each student contribute towards the endowment fund?

A:  The contributions will be made by the students once, as follows:

a.       For Local Students:                  Rs. 1,000/-

b.      For Overseas Students: USD 10/-

Q:  When will the endowment fund take effect?

A:  The contribution to that fund shall be applicable w.e.f. Spring -2016 to all existing and newly admitted students.

Fall 2020 Semester

(Semester/ Classes Commencement Date: November 02, 2020)

The link for “Course Selection” will be active/ available w.e.f. Thursday, October 22, 2020 under “Student Services” tab in VULMS. The students are advised to log-in to their VULMS account and select their course(s) immediately or before the semester commencement date.  However, last date to add/drop course(s) will be Thursday, November 12, 2020. Tuition fee voucher issued after this date shall not be revised.

Important Notes:

  1. Existing/ continuing students must make their course selection as mentioned above. Failing to enroll any course(s) he/she will be treated as “INACTIVE STUDENT” during the semester according to “Semester Freeze Rules”. Such students may continue their studies after ‘Readmission” as per the University policy.
  1. Newly admitted studentsenrolled in the 1st semester of their respective study program, are given pre-selected courses.
  1. Course/ workload (Credit Hours) limits have been prescribed and published separately for each study program in “Course Selection Rules” in given “Student Handbook”. Students must read the rules carefully before making their course selection.

Guidelines/Explanations:

·         Students are expected to follow the “semester wise study scheme” of their respective study program so that their scholarship eligibility may not effect (See Scholarship Rules). 

·         Continuously enrolling maximum course/work load in each semester does not mean that a study program can be completed earlier than its minimum prescribed residential requirement.

  1. Course Pre-requisite rule requires enrollment and qualifying of Basic/Introductory courses before enrolling an advanced level course. Therefore, said rule must be followed and given due care while making course selection.
  1. Students with blocked VULMS (due to non-payment of fee) will not be allowed to make their course selection, unless they deposit their outstanding dues and get their LMS accounts active from Accounts Department.
  1. Project/Internship students are to select and qualify Project/Internship as per eligibility criteria according to the study scheme for the award of degree. (Note: Internship and research project is mandatory to qualify for all students of BS Mass Communication and BS Psychology programs w.e.f. spring 2019 batch)
  1. Thesis course will only be available for selection, if a student qualifies its eligibility criteria mentioned at Course Selection Rules. MSCS/MSBA students will opt only one track either Thesis or Course Work.
  1. Grade Improvement Policy encourages the students to repeat ‘F’ or ‘D’ grade courses, if any, on priority basis in subsequent semester(s); within maximum credit hours limit for the respective semester has to be followed. However, for all MS/ MPhil programs, ‘F’, ‘D’, ‘C’ and even ‘B-’ grade courses can be enrolled for improvement of grade.
