Request for Rescheduling of Missed/Unplanned paper(s) Fall 2019 Final Term Examinations

A student may request for rescheduling of Missed/Unplanned paper(s) on or before Thursday, February 27, 2020. No request will be entertained after the specified date. The rescheduling rules may be accessible through the following link:
NOTE:
  1. The re-schedule chance shall be provided only once.
  2. The rescheduling fee is non-refundable in any case irrespective of his/her appearance in the rescheduled paper(s).
  3. The rescheduled paper(s) shall be conducted as per the following schedule: 
For Overseas Students: Saturday, February 29, 2020
For Local Students: Sunday, March 01, 2020
      4. Fee voucher(s) of the prescribed fee shall be payable before the announcement of the result.
      5. A maximum of four (04) papers can be rescheduled in the Fall 2019 Final Term Examinations.
Procedure:  
1. Login to VULMS
2. Open VULMS-->Student Services-->Examinations Department--> Apply for Rescheduling of Papers.
3. Once your request is duly processed, a confirmation email will be sent on your VU email from no-reply@vu.edu.pk, (University requires at least 24-48 hours for processing your request).
4. Now, you must take a fresh print of your Exam Entrance slip from http://datesheet.vu.edu.pk

H.E. Iwan Suyudhie Amri, Ambassador of Indonesia to Pakistan visited Virtual University of Pakistan, M.A Jinnah Campus (Head Office), Lahore.

He was received by Mr. Ehsen Zafar Puri, Director ICT along with Mr. Mohsin Javed, Registrar, Mr. Abdul Majid, Advisor Academics, Ms. Rubina Ali, GM Marketing Virtual University, Mr. Suleman Khan, Advisor Marketing, Dr. Arshad Hussain Hashmi, Director, ORIC, principal officers of Virtual University and Project Director Digiskills Dr. Zafar Alvi.

Dr. Arshad Hussain Hashmi, Director, ORIC delivered the opening address. He gave special welcome remarks to H.E. Iwan Suyudhie Amri for taking

time and visiting Virtual University of Pakistan. H.E. Iwan Suyudhie Amri delivered his session at the ceremony and made an announcement of special scholarships for VU students and staff members. The scholarship will cover tuition fees, living expenses, airfare and medical expenses. H.E. Iwan Suyudhie Amri showed keen interest in developing long-standing cooperation in various sectors of education. He praised the setup of Virtual University and its mode of education.

Ms. Asma Safdar, being guest at the ceremony shared her experience studying at University in Indonesia. She shared her experience about study, lifestyle, culture, hospitality and benefits of availing scholarships at different universities of Indonesia. Her session helped participants better

understand the study programs and scholarship opportunities. Mr. Abdul Majid, Advisor Academics delivered the closing remarks at the ceremony. Mr. Deny Tri Basuki, Counsellor also joined the session and answered the questions of the participants.

Mr. Baber Ali, General Manager, Virtual University Television Network briefed the guests about the Virtual University’s Television Network during the visit of guests to the TV Department. The honorable guest visited various departments of VU and took a keen interest in learning practices and modes of education.

February 12, 2020 Announcement - Blocking of VULMS Accounts

It is informed that LMS accounts of all such students who have not paid their outstanding dues shall be blocked on February 17, 2020. Students with blocked accounts will not be able to appear in Final Term Exams (Fall'19 Semester) and carry out other academic activities. It is therefore advised to clear all outstanding dues at the earliest, in order to avoid any inconvenience.

Entrepreneurship Workshops and Business Ideas Competition for Women Students

Student Startup Business Center at the Virtual University of Pakistan organized workshops for female students of Virtual University from multiple cities. The workshops were conducted in collaboration with “KHUDI”, a project of PEP foundation. The objective of these workshops was to increase the awareness of entrepreneurship among the women students of the University. Mr. Rizwan Saleem, the trainer of the workshops, highlighted the importance of women entrepreneurship and helped them understand the idea generation process. More than 90 female students from Islamabad, Karachi, Gujranwala, Peshawar, Multan, Sahiwal, and Hyderabad participated in these workshops. As the outcome of the workshop, participants presented their business ideas in front of the Management committee chaired by Dr. Syed Abdul Majid. A total of 16 groups consisting of 36 students presented their business ideas. Following are the details of the top five positions:
