Pakistani Scottish Scholarship 2018
British Council in collaboration with the Scottish Government first launched this scheme in 2013 with the aim of promoting higher education amongst Pakistani women. The Scottish Scholarship Scheme caters to women from financially disadvantaged backgrounds pursuing their master’s degrees and helps them achieve their educational ambitions. These scholarships no longer have an age limit and are offered to female students enrolled in master’s programmes in the fields of education, agriculture and food security, sustainable energy, health sciences, and Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) engineering, all areas that are highly relevant to Pakistan in terms of current challenges and future opportunities.
Administered directly by the British Council, this scholarship will facilitate award-holders with the following incentives:
- Tuition fees for master’s courses
- University hostel costs
- Subsistence to the award holder
- Travel to and from home to university three times a year for students staying in on-campus hostels
