Important Instructions For Fee Submission-


Due to some technical issues, the University's real time fee collection system through "NADRA E-Sahulatis inaccessible. Students are advised to deposit University’s dues ONLY through the following channels;

  1. HBL Bank (Branch Network) 
  2. HBL Internet Payment Gateway Services (By using “Pay" option available at VULMS through Debit / Credit Card)
  3. Bank Alfalah (Branch Network)
  4. UBL Bank (Branch Network)
  5. Telenor Easy Paisa (Through App & Agent Network)

Please avoid fee deposit through "NADRA E-Sahulat" till further announcement.

Fall 2021 MidTerm Exam: Request for Rescheduling of Missed/Unplanned paper(s)

Fall 2021 Mid Term Examinations: Request for Rescheduling of Missed/Unplanned paper(s)

 

A student may request for rescheduling of Missed/Unplanned paper(s) on or before Friday, January 28, 2022. No request will be entertained after the specified date. The rescheduling rules may be accessible through the following link:

NOTE:

1.     The re-schedule chance shall be provided only once.

2.     Rescheduling fee is non-refundable in any case irrespective of his/her appearance in the rescheduled paper(s).

3.     The rescheduled paper(s) for both local and overseas students shall be conducted as per the following schedule: 

Date of Rescheduled Exam: Sunday, January 30, 2022

4.     Fee voucher(s) of the prescribed fee shall be payable before the announcement of the result.

5.     A maximum of seven (07) papers can be rescheduled in Fall 2021 Mid Term Examinations.

Procedure:  

1. log in to VULMS

2.     Open VULMS-->Student Services-->Examinations Department--> Apply for Rescheduling of Papers.
(The missed paper(s) will be available for rescheduling after 24 hours of actual paper time)

3.     Select the Preferred City of Appearance from the drop-down list.
(Overseas Students shall select Preferred City as “Overseas”).

4.     Submit Request.

5.     Once your request is duly processed, a confirmation email will be sent to your VU email address (Please check Inbox/Spam/Junk-Email) from no-reply@vu.edu.pk.
 (University requires at least 24-48 hours for processing your request).

6.     Now, you must take a fresh print of your Exam Entrance slip from http://datesheet.vu.edu.pk

Details:

Student Start-Up Business Center is a platform at VU to foster the entrepreneurial spirit in the students and to provide them a conducive environment to nurture their business ideas into successful business ventures. This initiative is supported by the Virtual University of Pakistan in collaboration with HEC-Pakistan, and PEP Foundation, USA. SSBC is envisioned to promote entrepreneurship among the students by encouraging them through business ideas competitions, providing them seed money, free office working space, free training facilities, and provision of complete ongoing support and guidance to the successful incubates and counseling from the veteran entrepreneurs.

SSBC at the Virtual University of Pakistan is inviting business ideas for SSBC Batch-V. The student or group of students (maximum two) can submit their viable business ideas on the website of SSBC (http://ssbc.vu.edu.pk).

If you have any idea that can help Pakistan or the world to lessen the effects of Covid-19 on the environment, humans, or even on the economies, you are encouraged to apply and play your role as a responsible citizen. 

Who can participate?

  • Only currently enrolled active students of the Virtual University of Pakistan are eligible to apply for business ideas.
  • Students enrolled in short courses, diplomas, deficiency semester and zero semesters cannot apply.
  • Oversees students and VU employees who are enrolled as VU students are not eligible to apply.

  • One student will be allowed to submit only one business idea; either individually or in a team.
  • A team should not be comprised of more than two members.
  • Each individual/team needs to submit innovative business ideas and must not copy from any source.
  • Shortlisted business ideas will be invited for submission of full business plans.
  • Only practical and financially viable business plans will be shortlisted for presentation. 
  • The business idea’s financial worth should not exceed Rs. 500,000.

Zero Semester students are informed that the University has issued tuition fee voucher (2nd installment) for the Fall, 2021 semester to enrolled students with a due date of January 20, 2022.

You are advised to pay the dues as per given schedule.

Students are informed that the University has issued an Endowment Fund voucher to Newly Admitted students of the Fall, 2021 semester, amounting to Rs. 1,000/- for local students and $10 for overseas students with a due date of January 20, 2022

OVERSEAS EXAMINATION RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

Overseas students shall adhere to the "Code of Conduct Outside of Pakistan" from the following link:

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

 

Overseas Exam Software and related materials have been made available for download. Please make sure to install the latest exam application available on the link given below. Students must follow the sequence of instructions given below for smooth and error-free installation:

 A student must have complete administrative access to their machine (i.e., desktop or Laptop). The internet connection must be personal. Do not use an office system and internet connection with administrator restrictions/policies.

 

  1. HARDWARE

•      Core i3 (or above)

•      2 GB of Ram (Minimum)

•      Internet Connection (2 MB Minimum)

•      One external USB webcam with a built-in microphone, wide lens, and at least a 2-meter-long cable.

  1. OPERATING SYSTEM

•      Use only a Windows 10 (64 bit) system equal to or above version 1909
Select the Start buttonSettings > System > About > Windows Specifications> Check Version.

•     For MAC users the exam application is not compatible with the MAC Operating System. However, a student may Dual Boot their MAC system with a Windows Operating System by following the instructions mentioned in the given link https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201468
Note: Use of Virtual Machine Software is strictly prohibited.

•      Uninstall antivirus applications and disable windows firewall before installation.

•      System default language MUST be English (United States).
It can be set from 
Start buttonSettings>Time & Language>Language>Windows Display Language>English (United States).

•      No proxy software, VPN software, Virtual Machine software, or remote-control software (except TeamViewer only) should be installed or configured on the machine
 (e.g., AmmyAdmin, Remote Desktop Managers, hotspot shield, LogMeIn, Parallels Access, VMWare, etc.).

 

  1. PRE-REQUISITE SOFTWARE AND EXAM APPLICATION INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Download and install in sequence the following pre-requisite software and Exam application on your Windows system from the following link only: https://qb.vu.edu.pk

a)      VUTES Overseas 2.1 (Updated) (VUTES Guide)

b)     TeamViewer (TeamViewer Guide)

An icon of VUTES will be visible on their desktop after the installation of the VUTES exam application. Please double-click the icon to run the demo test.

                                                                                                                              

DEMO TEST

 

 

A student may test their installation by joining any of the following sessions FROM (January 01, 2021) to (January 08, 2022), during the specified session timings as mentioned below:
 

    • Session 1:      08:30 AM to 09:30 A.M (PST)
    • Session 2:      10:30 AM to 11:30 A.M (PST)
    • Session 3:      12:00 PM to 01:00 P.M (PST)
    • Session 4:      02:30 PM to 03:30 P.M (PST)
    • Session 5:      04:00 PM to 05:00 P.M (PST)
    • Session 6:      05:30 PM to 06:30 P.M (PST)
    • Session 7:      07:00 PM to 08:00 P.M (PST)

Please use the student ID as a login and password for login into the exam application to check the demo test. For example,
 

    • Login ID: Type your student ID here
    • Password: Type your student ID here 

After completing the demo test, the student must confirm their installation status by clicking the link “Click here to confirm the installation status” given on http://qb.vu.edu.pk

The Login ID and password mentioned on the datasheet will only be accessible during the actual exam time (i.e. according to Pakistan Standard Time).

Note:

    • There are no invigilators present during the demo sessions, so no need to reply to the messages during the demo.
    •  A student can send us their feedback at overseasexams@vu.edu.pk or contact us on “Overseasexams” at Skype or through Whatsapp "+92-3000656908" during demo sessions for support.
    • You must configure your student email on your mobile for regular exam updates.
