Students are informed that the University has issued the first voucher (Semester Enrollment fee + One Course fee) for Spring, 2020 semester to continuing students, who have made course selection from April 14, 2020, to April 27, 2020. Furthermore, the University has already issued said fee voucher to those who made course selection prior to April 14, 2020.

You are directed to deposit a payable voucher as per the given schedule.

Notice for Submission of Admission Dues in Installments (Spring – 2020 Semester)



Keeping in view the current situation arising out of Coronavirus, the University has deferred Security Fee and Semester Enrollment Fee from admission Voucher of eligible applicants of different degree programs (Spring’2020 admission session), as a special favor.

All applicants (who have not paid admission fee yet) are advised to take fresh print of admission vouchers and pay the same at panel Banks / Financial institutions mentioned on the voucher.

The University has unblocked LMS Accounts of all those students having outstanding dues up to Rs. 10,000/-, in order to facilitate them in making course selection for Spring – 2020 semester. However, It is advised to clear outstanding dues at the earliest to avoid blocking in the future.

Student Start Up Business Center is a platform at VU to foster entrepreneurial spirit in the students and to provide them conducive environment to nurture their business ideas into successful business ventures. This initiative is supported by Virtual University of Pakistan in collaboration with HEC-Pakistan, and PEP Foundation, USA. SSBC is envisioned to promote entrepreneurship among the students by encouraging them through business ideas competitions, providing them seed money, free office working space, free training facilities and provision of complete ongoing support and guidance to the successful incubates and counseling from the veteran entrepreneurs.

SSBC at Virtual University of Pakistan is inviting business ideas for SSBC Batch-V. The student or group of students (maximum two) can submit their viable business ideas on the website of SSBC (http://ssbc.vu.edu.pk/Pages/Events.aspx).

The extension in the due date of Idea submission has been given to facilitate the students who have any business idea to tackle the current pandemic caused by Covid-19.

One student will be allowed to submit only one business idea; either individually or in a team.
A team should not be comprised of more than two members.
Each individual/team needs to submit an innovative business idea and must not copy from any source.
Shortlisted business ideas will be invited for the submission of full business plans.
Only practical and financially viable business plans will be shortlisted for presentation.
The business idea’s financial worth should not exceed more than Rs. 300,000.

MOU Signing Ceremony With Kajaani University Finland



Virtual university of Pakistan and Kajaani University of Applied Sciences, Finland have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to train one million students on disruptive technologies. Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiative, Mr. Asad Umar was the chief guest of the ceremony. MoU was signed by Mr. Naeem Tariq, the Rector Virtual University of Pakistan and Mr. Matti Saren, CEO, Kajaani University.
Former Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui also participated in the ceremony. Secretary Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom, Mr. Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui, Director of International Education Cooperation, Kajaani University, Anas Al Natsheh, and other high officials joined the ceremony.
Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiative, Mr. Asad Umar said that Finland has gained great repute in the last decade in the world. He said, “The entire education system has now been touted in the last 10 years that the entire world acknowledges Finland for developing the kind of citizens and workers which are required to solve the problems of the 21st century. And this MoU will provide lots of opportunities for Pakistani students to learn quality education with the support of Kajaani University, Finland”.
Mr. Matti Saren, CEO, Kajaani University in his address said, “the Economist Intelligence report had declared Finland as the best countries in the world for future skills education while the Program for International Student Assessment also ranked Finland as the best higher education and training systems in the world. Finland has become one of the best places for higher education in the world. We hope to have collaborated in research, innovation, and commercialization by offering European standard education to Pakistani students with the support of Virtual University. We believe that working together we can create the future. I am hoping that this MoU will take a long term collaboration between the government of Finland and Pakistan and together we will build a foundation for research, innovation, and commercialization by offering European academic programs.

Virtual University Software House is inviting applications from VU students enrolled in Faculty of Computer Science.

VU intends to Bridge Industry-Academia Gap by equipping students with state of the art technology and engaging them to work toward Minimal Viable Product (MVP) under the supervision of professionals from Industry. Students who are enrolled in Final Year Project will be given vigorous training through Workshops on in-demand cutting edge Technology primarily PHP / Laravel / Drupal /.Net / Android and iOS and Software Engineering (Requirement Engineering, Software Design and Architecture) related topics. Standard Project Management Practices including Sprint and Retrospective sessions, Multiple vigorous Reviews of SRS and Design Artifacts; are followed to monitor student work on weekly basis and appropriate feedback is given accordingly. This initiative will help students’ transition from Academic to Professional life in smooth way. After completion of Final Year Projects, students are trained for Jobs but can also pursue career towards Entrepreneurship.

Therefore, terminal documents of pass-out students (who have no RL/UMC/Rechecking case/ outstanding dues) shall be issued after the resumption of routine office operations.
