A: An endowment fund is an investment fund set up by an institution in which principal amount is kept intact and only the income generated by it is utilized for various purposes; such as:

1. The Transcript of Record as well as other related certificates of all graduating (whose degree requirements are completed) students will be dispatched within two weeks’ time except those who have RL cases, Outstanding VU dues, Pending Paper Rechecking requests etc.
2. A student who wants to get his/her paper(s) rechecked is advised to visit the Student Services section and request for Paper Rechecking on VULMS within the prescribed period.

Punjab Public Service Commission Policy for Chances 2019
For all posts to be filled through written tests, followed by interview or interview alone, the number of chances shall be restricted to 03, in case the candidate who fails in written tests/interview thrice for a specific post.i) Number of chances for Competitive Examinations shall remain 03 and there shall be no change for Competitive Examination, including Combined Competitive Examination.
ii) There shall be no limit of chances where recruitment is being made through one paper written test followed by interview or interview alone if a candidate obtains qualifying marks (40% marks) in the written test irrespective of the fact that whether he/she is called for interview or not and if he/ she obtains qualifying marks (50% marks) in interview irrespective of the fact that whether he/ she is recommended or not. (For example: if a candidate qualified the written test with 40% qualifying marks and called for interview, but he/ she could not obtain qualifying marks (50%) in interview, his/ her chance will be considered as availed.)
iii) If a candidate who is applicant for more than one subject he/ she shall be allowed 3 chances in each subject for which he/ she is a candidate, in accordance with laid down policy. For example, for the post of Lecturer in Education Department, a candidate who is the applicant for more than one subject shall be allowed three chances in each subject for which he/ she is a candidate in accordance with above laid down policy.

Virtual University of Pakistan participated in the 19th Annual Information Technology Commerce Network (ITCN) ASIA Information Technology and Telecom Show held at Expo Center, Karachi during Sept 17-19, 2019.

Federal Minister for IT & Telecom visited VU Karachi Campus
Federal Minister for Information Technology (IT) & Telecom Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddique visited Virtual University of Pakistan (VUP) Karachi Campus and was received by the Rector, Virtual University of Pakistan along with other Principal Officers. The Federal Minister was accompanied by Federal Secretary for IT & Telecommunication), Mr. Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui.
The Federal Minister visited various departments of the University and was also given a presentation on the functioning and rapid growth of Virtual University, being the leading comprehensive university in Pakistan. The Federal Minister acknowledged the role played by Virtual University as an important higher education institution. He also appreciated VUP’s role in providing access to knowledge and learning opportunity for the students across the country.
Blocking of LMS Accounts
Blocking of LMS Accounts
The University has blocked LMS accounts of all those students who have payable dues. Students with blocked accounts will not be able to view final term results and make course selection for Fall, 2019 semester. It is therefore advised to clear outstanding dues at the earliest and get LMS accounts unblocked.

IMPORTANT
□
A candidate having
valid GAT-Subject or GAT-General Score Card is not required
to appear in the said test to be conducted by NTS on 05
October 2019. He/she shall submit the Valid Score Card with his/her
PhD/MPhil/MS Admission Form.
□
Only those candidates will be considered for admission whose results are duly declared/notified by the Controller of Examinations on or
before 25.09.2019.
□
Candidates employed in any Government or Semi-Government
Department/Organization must submit No Objection Certificate from the concerned
Department/Organization before Provisional Admission.
□
Provision of hostel accommodation will be subject to availability of seat
and shall not be claimed as a matter of right.
□
If found ineligible in scrutiny, the candidate shall not be allowed to
appear in the Interview even he/she has qualified the GAT (Subject)/GAT
(General) Test. Further, if the candidate appeared in the interview and later
found to be ineligible for any reason, his/her admission will be canceled at
any stage.
□
In case of ambiguity about eligibility, the opinion of the Graduate
Studies Committee of the concerned
department will be considered s final.
□
All the HEC/University of Peshawar rules/regulations shall be applicable on the admitted
scholars.
□
The University reserves the right to make changes
in any program/ admission procedure/regulations when and where deemed
necessary.
□
