Prime Minister’s Electric Wheel Chair Scheme for University Students: The main objective of the project is to facilitate special students having ambulatory disability, so that they can be assisted in movement and contribute effectively towards the progress of the homeland. Special students (having ambulatory disability) be advised to submit duly filled Application Form along with the Disability Certificate, CNIC and VU Student ID clrear and readable copy must reach on or before 13^th December, 2018 at following address;

November 09, 2018 Last Chance to Make Course Selection - Fall 2018

Dear Students,
You are hereby intimated that course selection due date for add/drop course(s) has been extended upto Tuesday, November 13, 2018.
Students’ failing to enroll any course(s) by the last date will be treated as “Inactive Student” in Spring 2018 semester and fine will also be imposed under “Semester Freeze Rules”.
Note:

Students' will be responsible for his/her late course enrollment and any quizzes or assignment(s) if given or taken.
No request for the enrollment of courses and unfreeze of semester will be entertained after above said date.
Fee voucher once issued will not be adjusted/revised.

November 09, 2018 International Online Competition

Students of Virtual University of Pakistan are encouraged to apply and participate in International Student Convention and Expo 2018. The event is planned by Inter-University Consortium for the Promotion of Social Sciences (IUCPSS). IUCPSS is a largest alliance of more than 45 public and private sector universities in Pakistan, was established in 2002, with aim to promote the social sciences in Pakistan through collaboration, cooperation and partnership at regional, national and international levels. More than 30 sessions and competitions are planned to ensure maximum participation of students from different universities.

Higher Education Commission Pakistan, Punjab Higher Education Commission, United National Information Centre Pakistan, Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Services and other top ranked Pakistani and foreign universities are closely partnering this initiative.

There are 3 categories of competitions in which the entries are open till November 15, 2018.

Students are encouraged to participate in Photography competition.

RULES & REGULATIONS

PREPARED WORK:

Photography must clearly be student's original work without editing and effects.
Negativity will not be accepted and participant should stick to the theme.
Participant cannot claim back their work.
Work that is found copied from any source will be rejected.
Only 10 photos per participant will be accepted. 5 photos per theme.

B- SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

Short Film Festival is a broad category of visual expressions that is based on the attempt, in one fashion or another, to "document" reality. Students are encouraged to show their talents and creativity

Students are informed that the University has issued first voucher (semester enrolment fee + one course fee) for Fall, 2018 semester to continuing students, who have made course selection from October 26, 2018 to November 5, 2018. You are directed to deposit payable voucher as per given schedule.

VU to host 33rd Annual Conference of Asian Association of Open Universities

Virtual University of Pakistan has been honored to host the 33rd Annual Conference of Asian Association of Open Universities after acceptance of its Proposal by Executive Committee of AAOU. This Conference is scheduled to be held in the Year 2019 in Pakistan. The Conference will provide a platform for academicians to exchange their views and experiences in Open and Distance Learning Programs and hands-on experience on the importance of open and distance learning in Asia’s human resource development in integration.

Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU) is a non-profit organization of higher learning institutions that are primarily concerned with open and distance education.

The 32nd annual conference of the Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU) was held in Hanoi, capital of Vietnam, on October 24, 2018. It served to bring together about 400 delegates from 20 countries and territories worldwide including delegates from Pakistan who presented their research papers comprised of faculty members of Virtual University including Prof. Dr. Masroor Elahi Babar ,(Dean Faculty of Science & Technology), Dr. Mohsin Javed,(Director Quality Enhancement), Mr. Rizwan Saleem Sindhu, (Assistant Professor, Marketing) Mr. Naveed-ul-Hasan (Instructor Department of Management Sciences), Muhammad Waqas, (Instructor) and Ms. Ammara Hashmi (Instructor Department of Social Sciences).
