Important Announcement for Students of MBA (Equivalent to MS) / MSBA

Dear Students!

Please note that all the courses offered for MBA (Equivalent to MS) / Master of Science in Business Adminitsrtaion (MSBA) degree programs have been allocated course codes of seven hundred (7xx) series w.e.f. semester Spring 2013.  These courses will be offered using video lectures recorded under their respective original course codes as mentioned in the table below.  In addition to that the students will be required to consult recommended text book(s). Furthermore, time to time, "case studies” and “research articles” relevant to the topic under discussion in the video lectures will be uploaded on the respective course website on the LMS.  The assessment in these courses will be preferably done on the basis of material covered in the video lectures, case studies and the articles provided (for further details, please visit assessment scheme of each course in the LMS).

MS(CS) Spring 2013 Course Selection

MS(CS) Spring 2013 Course Selection

All MS(CS) students are required to select their courses for Spring 2013 semester from the following list of courses, and email their selected courses at mscs_courseselection@vu.edu.pk till April 12, 2013 (Friday). Please note, students who are required to study prerequisites course must select prerequisite courses first. A student who has completed 21 MS level credit hours of course work with a CGPA not less than 2.75 can enroll MS thesis (CS720).

General Rules

1.      A student can only enroll a course if he/she has taken pre-requisites for that particular course.
2.      A student can improve a 'C' or 'D' grade in a course only once.
3.      A student can only select subjects from a pool of subjects that is being offered in current semester.
4.      In a single semester, a student can enroll 4 MS subjects, i.e. 12 MS level credit hours.

  
Degree Requirements
 To get the MS(CS) degree a student is required to take four courses from his/her area of specialization, four core courses, and a research-based thesis.

Course Add/Drop Date
Students can change their selected courses for this semester until April 30, 2013.


Commencement of Classes
Please note that Spring 2013 semester will start from April 15, 2013.
